uPVC doors
A moulded panel below, a glazed light above, and the same multipoint locking as a composite door. The leaf is lighter and thinner, so it does not feel as solid in the hand, and that is most of what you are giving up.
Pick this when budget leads and the door is not the first thing people see.
The honest difference from composite is the leaf. A uPVC door is lighter and thinner, so it sounds different when it shuts and flexes more under a shove. The locking is the same; the feeling of solidity is not.
For a door that is not on public view, or where the budget has to stretch across several openings, that trade is often the right one. Put the saving into the front door and fit uPVC everywhere else.
