uPVC doors
Two glazed leaves on hinges, opening outwards from the centre. There is no track, no rollers and no carriage: the moving parts are hinges and a lock, which is why french doors tend to still work twenty years on when sliding systems have been replaced.
Pick this for an opening up to about 1.8m where you want the whole width clear and nothing mechanical to maintain.
There is almost nothing to go wrong. No track to fill with grit, no rollers to flatten, no carriage to come out of adjustment — just hinges and a lock. It is why french doors are so often still working when the sliding doors fitted at the same time have been replaced.
The catch is swing space. Two leaves opening outwards need around 800mm of clear patio each, so measure what is actually outside the opening before choosing these over a slider.
Priced on your measurements
Every door is made to the sizes you give us, so the price depends on the opening. Add it to your list and we will come back with a figure and a lead time.
Nothing is charged here and we take no card details. Your list comes to us as an enquiry and we reply with a price.
